Scope of Work

  • Thoroughly clean and sanitise all surfaces, including walls, floors, and ceilings.
  • Use colour-coded cleaning systems to prevent cross-contamination.
  • Empty and sanitise rubbish bins.
  • Clean and sanitise all high-touch areas such as door handles, light switches, and taps.
  • Ensure all cleaning agents used are appropriate for a quarantine environment and comply with Australian standards.
  • Maintain a log of cleaning activities for auditing purposes.

Method

  1. Prepare the cleaning trolley with all necessary equipment and cleaning agents, ensuring colour-coded systems are in place.
  2. Begin by dusting all surfaces from high to low, ensuring no dust is left behind.
  3. Sanitise all high-touch areas using appropriate disinfectants.
  4. Mop floors using a disinfectant solution, ensuring no residue is left.
  5. Empty rubbish bins, replace liners, and sanitise the bins.
  6. Inspect the area to ensure all tasks are completed to the required standard.

Quality Criteria

Performance Level Criteria
Excellent All surfaces are visibly clean and sanitised, with no dust or residue. High-touch areas are disinfected, and there is no presence of odours. Cleaning log is complete and accurate.
Good Surfaces are generally clean with minor dust in non-critical areas. High-touch areas are mostly disinfected. Cleaning log is mostly complete.
Pass Surfaces are clean but may have some dust or residue. High-touch areas are partially disinfected. Cleaning log is incomplete.
Fail Surfaces are visibly dirty or dusty. High-touch areas are not disinfected. Presence of odours. Cleaning log is missing or inaccurate.

Documentation
