Scope of Work

  • Sanitise all surfaces, including walls, floors, and storage containers.
  • Ensure all waste containers are emptied and cleaned.
  • Utilise colour-coded cleaning systems to prevent cross-contamination.
  • Ensure all cleaning equipment is cleaned and stored correctly after use.

Method

  1. Don appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) before entering the hazardous waste store.
  2. Use a trolley to transport cleaning supplies and equipment to the site.
  3. Remove all visible waste and debris using appropriate tools and dispose of it in designated rubbish bins.
  4. Sanitise all surfaces with approved disinfectants, focusing on high-touch areas.
  5. Clean and sanitise waste containers inside and out.
  6. Ensure all cleaning equipment is cleaned, sanitised, and stored correctly after use.

Good Surfaces are generally clean with minor spots. No strong odours. Waste containers are clean with minor residues. Infection control guidelines are mostly followed.
Pass Surfaces have some visible dirt or stains. Mild odours present. Waste containers have visible residues. Basic infection control measures are in place.
Fail Surfaces are visibly dirty or stained. Strong odours present. Waste containers are dirty with significant residues. Infection control guidelines are not followed.
