Scope of Work

  • Dust all horizontal and vertical surfaces, including equipment and ledges.
  • Sanitise all high-touch surfaces such as door handles, light switches, and control panels.
  • Vacuum and mop floors using a colour-coded system to prevent cross-contamination.
  • Empty and sanitise rubbish bins, replacing liners as needed.
  • Clean and sanitise the CT scanner exterior, ensuring no residue or marks remain.
  • Inspect and clean air vents and grilles to ensure dust-free operation.
  • Ensure all cleaning activities comply with Australian infection control guidelines.

Method

  1. Prepare the cleaning trolley with appropriate colour-coded cloths and mops.
  2. Dust all surfaces using a microfibre cloth, starting from the highest point and working downwards.
  3. Sanitise high-touch areas with a hospital-grade disinfectant, allowing appropriate contact time.
  4. Vacuum the floor using a HEPA-filter vacuum cleaner to capture fine particles.
  5. Mop the floor with a damp mop, using a neutral detergent, and allow to air dry.
  6. Dispose of rubbish and replace bin liners, ensuring bins are sanitised.
  7. Inspect and clean air vents with a damp cloth to remove dust build-up.

Good Minor dust on non-critical surfaces. High-touch areas are sanitised with minimal residue. Floors are clean with slight streaks. Air vents have minimal dust. No strong odours present.
Pass Noticeable dust on some surfaces. High-touch areas are sanitised but with visible residue. Floors have visible streaks. Air vents have visible dust. Mild odours present.
Fail Significant dust accumulation. High-touch areas not sanitised. Floors are dirty with visible marks. Air vents clogged with dust. Strong odours present.
