Scope of Work

  • Dust all horizontal and vertical surfaces, including equipment, ledges, and furniture.
  • Sanitise all high-touch surfaces such as door handles, light switches, and ultrasound equipment controls.
  • Vacuum and mop floors using a colour-coded system to prevent cross-contamination.
  • Empty and sanitise rubbish bins, replacing liners as needed.
  • Clean and sanitise sinks and taps.
  • Ensure all cleaning activities comply with infection control guidelines.

Method

  1. Prepare the cleaning trolley with appropriate colour-coded cloths and mops.
  2. Dust surfaces using a microfibre cloth, starting from the highest point and working downwards.
  3. Sanitise high-touch areas with a hospital-grade disinfectant.
  4. Vacuum the floor using a HEPA-filter vacuum cleaner.
  5. Mop the floor with a damp mop, using a neutral detergent solution.
  6. Dispose of waste in accordance with healthcare waste management protocols.
  7. Conduct a final inspection to ensure all areas meet the quality criteria.

Pass Some dust or marks on less than 10% of surfaces. No strong odours. High-touch areas are mostly sanitised. Floors are mostly clean. Waste bins are not overflowing.
Fail Visible dust or marks on more than 10% of surfaces. Noticeable odours. High-touch areas are not sanitised. Floors have visible debris. Waste bins are overflowing.
