Scope of Work

  • Remove all rubbish and debris from the steam room.
  • Sanitise all surfaces including benches, walls, and floors using appropriate cleaning agents.
  • Clean and polish glass surfaces and mirrors.
  • Ensure drains are free from blockages and clean.
  • Wipe down and sanitise door handles and any touchpoints.
  • Inspect and clean any visible mould or mildew.
  • Ensure the room is free from unpleasant odours.

Method

  1. Prepare the cleaning trolley with all necessary equipment and cleaning agents, ensuring colour-coded cloths are used for different surfaces.
  2. Remove all rubbish and place it in the designated rubbish bin.
  3. Apply a suitable sanitising solution to all surfaces, allowing appropriate dwell time as per the manufacturer’s instructions.
  4. Scrub benches, walls, and floors with a non-abrasive brush.
  5. Rinse surfaces with clean water and dry with a clean cloth.
  6. Clean glass surfaces with a glass cleaner and polish with a microfibre cloth.
  7. Check and clean drains, ensuring they are free from blockages.
  8. Wipe down all touchpoints with a disinfectant wipe.
  9. Inspect for mould and mildew, treating any affected areas with a mould remover.
  10. Ensure the room is left dry and free from any cleaning residue.

Excellent All surfaces are visibly clean and sanitised, with no streaks or residue. No odours present. Drains are clear and functioning. No visible mould or mildew. All touchpoints are disinfected.
Good Surfaces are clean with minimal streaks. No strong odours. Drains mostly clear. Minimal visible mould or mildew. Most touchpoints disinfected.
Pass Surfaces are generally clean but may have some streaks. Mild odours present. Drains partially blocked. Some visible mould or mildew. Some touchpoints disinfected.
Fail Surfaces are dirty or have significant residue. Strong odours present. Drains blocked. Visible mould or mildew. Touchpoints not disinfected.
