Scope of Work
- Dusting of all horizontal surfaces including ledges, sills, and equipment surfaces.
- Sanitising of all high-touch surfaces such as door handles, light switches, and taps.
- Mopping of floors with a disinfectant solution.
- Cleaning and sanitising of surgical tables and equipment.
- Emptying and sanitising of rubbish bins.
- Spot cleaning of walls and doors to remove any marks or stains.
- Ensuring all cleaning is performed using a colour-coded cleaning system to prevent cross-contamination.
Method
- Prepare the cleaning trolley with all necessary equipment and cleaning agents, ensuring colour-coded cloths and mops are used.
- Dust all horizontal surfaces using a damp microfibre cloth to capture dust and prevent dispersal.
- Sanitise high-touch surfaces with an approved hospital-grade disinfectant, allowing appropriate contact time.
- Mop floors using a two-bucket system to ensure clean and dirty water are kept separate, using a disinfectant solution.
- Clean and sanitise surgical tables and equipment with a disinfectant wipe, ensuring no residue is left.
- Empty rubbish bins, replace liners, and sanitise the bin interior and exterior.
- Spot clean walls and doors with a suitable cleaning agent to remove any visible marks.
- Conduct a final inspection to ensure all areas meet the required cleanliness standards.
