Scope of Work

  • Dust all surfaces including furniture, window sills, and ledges.
  • Sanitise high-touch areas such as door handles, light switches, and bed rails.
  • Vacuum carpeted areas and mop hard floors using a colour-coded system.
  • Empty rubbish bins and replace liners.
  • Clean and sanitise the toilet and bathroom fixtures.
  • Wipe down walls and partitions as needed.
  • Ensure all cleaning is conducted in accordance with infection control guidelines.

Method

  1. Prepare the cleaning trolley with appropriate colour-coded cloths and cleaning agents.
  2. Begin by dusting all surfaces, working from high to low to prevent recontamination.
  3. Sanitise high-touch areas using a disinfectant approved for healthcare settings.
  4. Vacuum carpets using a HEPA-filtered vacuum cleaner to reduce airborne particles.
  5. Mop floors with a neutral detergent, ensuring the mop is rinsed frequently.
  6. Empty rubbish bins, ensuring waste is disposed of according to facility protocols.
  7. Clean the toilet and bathroom fixtures with a disinfectant, paying special attention to taps and flush handles.
  8. Inspect the room for any remaining dirt or debris and address as necessary.

Good Surfaces are mostly clean with minimal dust. High-touch areas are sanitised with slight residue. Floors are clean with minor streaks. No strong odours present. Rubbish bins are emptied.
Pass Surfaces have some dust. High-touch areas are sanitised but may have visible residue. Floors have visible streaks. Mild odours present. Rubbish bins are not overflowing.
Fail Surfaces are dusty. High-touch areas are not sanitised. Floors are dirty with visible debris. Strong odours present. Rubbish bins are overflowing.
