Scope of Work

  • Dusting of all surfaces including equipment, benches, and fixtures.
  • Sanitising of all high-touch surfaces such as equipment handles, benches, and door handles.
  • Vacuuming of all carpeted areas and mats.
  • Mopping of hard floors with appropriate cleaning solutions.
  • Emptying and sanitising rubbish bins.
  • Cleaning and polishing of mirrors and glass surfaces.
  • Ensuring all cleaning activities comply with Australian workplace health and safety requirements.

Method

  1. Begin by dusting all surfaces using a microfibre cloth to capture dust and prevent airborne particles.
  2. Sanitise all high-touch surfaces using a hospital-grade disinfectant, ensuring contact time as per manufacturer’s instructions.
  3. Vacuum all carpeted areas and mats using a HEPA-filter vacuum cleaner to minimise dust and allergens.
  4. Mop hard floors with a neutral pH cleaner, using a colour-coded mop system to prevent cross-contamination.
  5. Empty rubbish bins, replace liners, and sanitise the bin interior and exterior.
  6. Clean mirrors and glass surfaces with a glass cleaner, ensuring streak-free results.
  7. Conduct a final inspection to ensure all areas meet the quality criteria.

Performance Level Criteria
Excellent All surfaces are visibly clean and free from dust, dirt, and smudges. No odours present. High-touch surfaces are sanitised and dry. Floors are spotless and dry. Mirrors and glass are streak-free.
Good Minor dust or smudges on less than 5% of surfaces. No strong odours. High-touch surfaces are sanitised. Floors are clean with minimal streaks. Mirrors and glass have minor streaks.
Pass Noticeable dust or smudges on less than 10% of surfaces. No offensive odours. High-touch surfaces are mostly sanitised. Floors are generally clean with some streaks. Mirrors and glass have visible streaks.
Fail Visible dust or dirt on more than 10% of surfaces. Offensive odours present. High-touch surfaces are not sanitised. Floors are dirty or sticky. Mirrors and glass are heavily streaked.
