Scope of Work

  • Dust all horizontal surfaces including equipment, ledges, and furniture.
  • Sanitise all high-touch surfaces such as bed rails, door handles, and light switches.
  • Clean and sanitise the patient bed and surrounding area.
  • Empty and sanitise rubbish bins.
  • Vacuum and mop floors using a colour-coded system to prevent cross-contamination.
  • Clean and sanitise the ensuite toilet and sink area.
  • Ensure all cleaning activities adhere to infection control protocols.

Method

  1. Prepare cleaning trolley with appropriate colour-coded cloths and mops.
  2. Dust all surfaces using a damp microfibre cloth to capture dust and prevent dispersal.
  3. Sanitise high-touch areas with hospital-grade disinfectant.
  4. Empty rubbish bins, replace liners, and sanitise bin surfaces.
  5. Vacuum floors using a HEPA-filtered vacuum cleaner.
  6. Mop floors with a neutral detergent, ensuring no residue is left.
  7. Clean ensuite facilities with appropriate bathroom cleaners, ensuring all surfaces are sanitised.
